Rostkowski, an award-winning Polish and international composer, music producer and art director of multimedia performances, shows, series and films. This unusual concert is a trans genre performance, presenting a wide spectrum of Eastern European roots music. The program includes works composed specifically for the painted screen adaptation of “Peasants,” the latest production from the makers of “Loving Vincent” - the world's first painted film, nominated for an Oscar in 2018. “Peasants” is an extraordinary work, combining the animated painting of Young Poland with the Nobel Prize-winning novel by Wladyslaw Reymont. For this international endeavor, Lukasz L.U.C.Rostkowski has assembled an eclectic group of the most intriguing folk music artists to create the Rebel Babel Film Orchestra, which delivers a comprehensive anthology of ancient Slavic melodies. The film's soundtrack became a Polish candidate for an Oscar, winning all the country's major film awards, and became the most popular soundtrack in the history of Polish cinema. What's more, the music from the film "Peasants" was on the list of the 15 best soundtracks with the best chance of winning an Oscar according to Variety magazine. The album earned Platinum Record status and exceeded 60 million streams.
