Premiera spektaklu „The Explorer’s Faith” w ramach wydarzenia PERCEPCJE. Nowe Formy Sztuki

Już 11 i 12 września w Lublinie odbędzie się premiera spektaklu „The Explorer’s Faith” autorstwa tajwańskiej artystki Yen-Tzu Chang – wyjątkowego dzieła na styku nowoczesnej technologii, tańca i teatru. Spektakl prezentowany jest w ramach drugiej edycji wydarzenia PERCEPCJE. Nowe Formy Sztuki, który eksploruje nowoczesne kierunki w sztukach performatywnych.

„The Explorer’s Faith” to poruszająca opowieść o kobiecej sile i odwadze, zakorzeniona w historii i skierowana ku przyszłości. Za pomocą języka tańca i nowych mediów artystka tworzy emocjonalny dialog pomiędzy przeszłością a współczesnością, sięgając po takie tematy, jak tradycja krępowania stóp w dawnym Tajwanie, otwarcie dostępu do edukacji czy wyzwania, z jakimi mierzą się kobiety dziś.

Spektakl wykorzystuje czujniki głębi obrazu, projekcje wideo i zaawansowane mapowanie wizualne, tworząc immersyjne środowisko, w którym ciała tancerek stapiają się z cyfrową scenografią. Premiere of the performance “The Explorer’s Faith” as part of the PERCEPCJE. New Forms of Art.

On September 11 and 12 in Lublin, the premiere of “The Explorer’s Faith” by Taiwanese artist Yen-Tzu Chang will take place – a unique piece at the intersection of modern technology, dance, and theater. The performance is presented as part of the second edition of the PERCEPCJE. New Forms of Art, which explores contemporary directions in the performing arts.

“The Explorer’s Faith” is a moving story about female strength and courage, rooted in history and looking toward the future. Through the language of dance and new media, the artist creates an emotional dialogue between the past and the present, touching on such topics as the tradition of foot-binding in historical Taiwan, access to education, and the challenges women face today.

The performance employs depth-sensing technology, video projections, and advanced visual mapping, creating an immersive environment where the dancers’ bodies merge with digital scenography. Precise choreography, ambisonic sound, and symbolic props such as fabric and ropes guide the audience through stages of emotional transformation: from resistance, through action and truth, to acceptance.

This is a performance that not only captivates with its form but above all inspires reflection on the contemporary experiences of women and the idea of equality. Cross-cultural and multimedia in nature, deeply rooted in history and relevant in its message – “The Explorer’s Faith” is theater of the future in its purest form.
